Estonian Music Week Festival 2019

Coverage in online journal “Eesti Elu”

Eesti Elu: “Stepping up the stage first was Mari Sild. With her flamboyant costume and own definite brand of soul and pop, she caught the attention of all in the room and started off the night with a righteous spark. For those that know of Estonian jazz and soul singer Hedvig Hanson, Mari’s vocals were reminiscent of her in therms of timbre and tone. Her music had various apparent influences, from Latin and African rhythms to rap and funk and was presented in English, Estonian and French.”

Coverage in online journal “Blast Toronto” by Joe Taylor

“There was a young lady from Montreal up on stage singing her versions of some older classic tunes like, Frankie Valli’s “Can’t take my eyes off of you”. Her name is Mari Sild and she has that kind of voice that could carry you away on a cloud. I really enjoyed her phrasing, because it reminded me of one of my favourite singers, Byran Ferry. The band seemed to grasp a wonderful concoction of Pop, Rock and Jazz in a nice fanciful way.”
